Hey! I’m a Senior Designer/3D Generalist with an Emmy award-winning technology company, with over 14 years experience in the Irish games industry. I’ve also done some TV work at a twice Oscar nominated animation studio.
Games, VR/AR/MR, Art.
Dublin, Ireland.
Sweet, great job Pete….the sepia image is me fave….
Ta Cian!
I don’t know whether to hate you or fall down on my knees to you!! Another beautifully realised concept work. Are you happy in your job or might you be interested in a feature film in Dublin, if it happens?
Ha Rory you crack me up! The hair was actually pretty much a preset out of the box (the Hair & Fur modifier in 3DSMax), I just combed and clumped the ends a bit to let it flow along the head and neck a bit better. I also painted a map to control length and hair clump density. The raw render was actually pretty saturated where the hairs were, I painted a lot in Photoshop to try to marry them to the actual model.
Well, you did a fine job as always. We must meet up again soon. I’ll let you know when I am in Dublin next. Enjoy the day!!
Do let me know, we’ll go for a pint
How did you do the feathers/hair – what software and what settings? Or is it polygons?
