This is a quick test of the Open VDB support in 3dsmax 2018, rendered in Arnold which replaces Mental Ray in this release. Two Arnold lights and samples set around 4 took 34 minutes for the 1k image on a quad core i7 🙂

Thanks for the kind words. For creating fluids I’d say Maya is better out of the box, Max doesn’t do a great job without plugins.
which plugin do you suggest to use? I am really on trouble to learn this part of 3D, furthermore because the part of rendering about particles.Is krakatoa the best? DO you think could be a good solutionfor a junior to start with a engine like this one to render particles? thx buddy for your precious attention.
